Tessa (Samantha Ryan) is a self-help author who claims to have found the secret to a "perfect" relationship, which she allegedly has with her fiance Mitch (Tyler Nixon). Unfortunately, as she is being interviewed on television (by Stormy Daniels), she is shown photographs of him having sex with someone else. The rest of the story revolves around how her publicist Stephanie (Allie Haze) tries to get her back on her feet (and back to writing), and how she rediscovers love with the caretaker (Michael Vegas) at the resort to which she retreats. But not without some serious mis-steps.
A fair bit of time is devoted to the story: over thirty minutes. Still, we thought a bit more might have been done with it, and a lot of the story is pretty unrealistic: the whole beginning, for example. And there are other minor annoyances, too, like the two-week gap between when Tessa finishes her book and when she makes an appearance on television to promote it. Doesn't anyone involved with these films know anything about publishing? or do any basic research to try to get the facts right?
That said, if we can ignore those oddities, it's actually a sweet story. Tessa's initial reluctance to get involved with Zach is convincing, and it makes it all the better when they do finally get together at the end of the movie. That scene is a real tear-jerker.
The camera work here is generally very good. But there are several places where Daniels decides to use slow motion, presumably to highlight something about the scene. We're not sure it works. It ends up, for us, being distracting, and it detracts from the sense of realism.
The main issue, though, is that the sex scenes are not all that great. The last scene, with Stephanie Ryan and Michael Vegas, is terrific. Ryan, as we have said before, always has sex like she means it, and Vegas always seems, at least in these movies, as if he really cares about his partner. The second scene is also quite convincing, with Allie Haze and Karlo Karrera doing a great job of acting like a couple. But the other two scenes just aren't that good.
Michael Vegas was nominated for Best Actor at the 2014 AVN Awards and for Best Actor in a Couples-Themed Release at the 2014 XBiz Awards, where the film itself was nominated for Best Couples-Themed Release, as well.
Scene 1: Lyla Storm and Tyler Nixon (♀♂)

Tessa's fiance Mitch (Tyler Nixon) has sex with his other lover (Lyla Storm).
The sex here is reasonably passionate, but the changes of position seem planned, so it isn't very convincing. She never really seems very aroused, either, so the scene got a bit boring, even though it isn't very long.
The photography here is very good, but we do lose him a bit (though only a bit) in the usual sorts of places. And there may be a few too many close-ups, though nothing 'medical', and the shots do not tend to linger.
Scene 2: Allie Haze and Karlo Karrera (♀♂)
Pleasure ✓, Passion ♀, Balance ♀
Stephanie (Allie Haze), Tessa's publicist, blows off steam by having sex with her boyfriend.
The camera work here is fantastic, and there is a real sense of attraction between them. But, while Haze does seem to enjoy herself, she never seems very aroused.
Scene 3: Kaylani Lei and Brendon Miller (♀♂)
Female Orgasm: Maybe, Cumshot: Stomach

Tessa's brother (Brendon Miller) and his girlfriend (Kaylani Lei) finally have enough privacy to have sex.
The sex is reasonably passionate, but there doesn't seem to be any great connection between them, and they don't really act like a couple while fucking. She does seem to have a pretty good time, though, and she may masturbate to orgasm as they fuck.
The camera work here is terrific at the beginning, but she does become more the focus toward the end.
Scene 4: Samantha Ryan and Michael Vegas (♀♂)
Female Orgasm: Multiple, Cumshot: Stomach
Features: Cunnilingus Orgasm
Pleasure ♀, Passion ♀, Balance ♀
Tessa and Zach (Michael Vegas) make love in front of the fire.
This is a terrific scene, as one might expect from who is in it. The set up for it is wonderful, and there is an appropriate level of passion between them. Ryan cums twice, once as Vegas eats her, and then masturbating as they are spooning. The only thing that's missing for us, really, is more communication between them. Given that these two have just confessed their love for each other, you might reasonably have expected them to continue communicating.
The camera work is really terrific, with a wide range of shots, and plenty of both of them. There are, for example, some very nice wider shots as she sucks him, and there are some nice closer shots of them kissing as they fuck.
