Review

Vincent (Rocco Reed) has lost his wife Beth (Dana DeArmond), and he is something of a mess. The story, as one might expect, is about how Vincent manages to get his life back together, with the help of a woman, Jenny (Andy San Dimas), who has long been a regular customer of the coffee shop he and Beth ran.

It's a decent story, and a decent amount of time is devoted to it: about half an hour. The acting is generally very good, as well. Dana DeArmond is her usual wonderful self, and Rocco Reed is very good in places, as is Lily LaBeau. But the end of the story seems to happen very quickly. There's very little time between the second and third sex scenes, or between the third and fourth. We also thought a bit more time might have been spent developing the relationship between Vincent and Jenny.

Most of the sex scenes are also pretty good. The third is not, but the other three would have been excellent if only they'd been a bit shorter, and there are a fair number of orgasms. We know we've complained about length a lot lately, but it does seem to be a common trap that directors keep falling into: to drag the sex scenes out too long, usually by making the individual sequences a bit too long.

The camera work is mediocre. It tends to be really good at the begining of the scenes, but once the "sex" begins, the focus is much more on the female performer, and the male is usually out of frame. As we have said before, that makes it a lot less interesting to watch these scenes and makes them feel monotonous.

Scene 1: Lily LaBeau and Danny Mountain (♀♂)

They really get right to it, appropriately, we suppose, given how hot they seem to be for each other, and the sex at the beginning is very passionate. There is a good connection between them, and the sex feels reasonably natural. The only criticism we have is that both of them are too talkative at times, and not always convincingly so.

The camera work at the beginning is really intimate and close, in a good way. But once she starts sucking him he is out of frame, and there are some gratuitous shots of her pussy from behind. A lot of the shots when they are fucking are very pornish as well, for example, from behind her when she is on top of him. There are some better shots, too, but they are infrequent.

This really could have been an excellent scene, but it goes on a too long. We were ready for it to be over after about 20 minutes, and what followed was just more of the same.

There is a terrific connection between them, and they speak to each other very sweetly. The sex is more creative than one usually sees, too. The beginning, as they kiss and she teases him, is very sexy, and the sex that follows is passionate and convincing. Once again, though, the scene is just too long. The various fucking sequences could have been edited a bit more. We have said it before, but it just isn't that interesting to watch people do the same thing over and over, even if that thing is fucking.

The camera work at the beginning is again excellent, though the focus is very much on her once she starts sucking him, and there are gratuitous shots of her ass once again. There are similar problems once they start fucking, though there are also some quite good shots then, too. It really would help make the scene more interesting to watch if there were more variation in the shots, which might just mean seeing more of him.

Scene 3: Alexis Texas and Anthony Rosano (♀♂)

There is no setup at all to this scene, so we have no idea who this woman is or why Jenny's boyfriend is having sex with her. As a result, there's very little sense of connection between them. And the sex is very pornish, as is the way Alexis Texas talks to him, or to the camera, or to someone. It's just a poor scene. And, again, it is way too long.

She does seem to enjoy herself at least, and she may cum while he fucks her from behind.

The camera work is similar to that in the previous scenes.

Scene 4: Andy San Dimas and Rocco Reed (♀♂)

There is quite good chemistry between them, and the beginning is very romantic. She, especially, does do quite a good job carrying the story into the sex. But the sex overall feels a bit routine and predictable. It hasn't got anything like the passion it should have, given the story, though it does get better toward the end. At least this scene, finally, isn't too long, but is by far the shortest scene in the movie.

The camera work is similar to that in the previous scenes: good in places, but mediocre overall.
