Review

Sam (Anikka Albrite) and Alan (James Deen) are engaged, but she is not necessarily happy with the life they are scheduled to lead. The fact that there were over a thousand people at the engagement party does not make her happy, and it leads her to have second thoughts about marrying Alan. The rest of the movie is about how she resolves her feelings. But there is a strange twist along the way, and they do end up together in the end.

We were not that thrilled with the story. There's a point where she says, "It's not you, it's me", and it just feels completely clichéd. The ending is a real shock, but that really doesn't make it that much better. In fact, it just makes it cheezier.

About 30 minutes of the movie is devoted to the story, but it is a very long movie, so that is less than a quarter of it. As for the sex scenes, they are simply too long, and it is difficult to keep the thread of the story across them. It doesn't help that none of the women ever seem all that aroused, let alone anywhere near orgasm, except Anikka Albrite in the first scene.

The acting, to say the least, is not very good. The heart to heart that Sam has with her best friend Jamie (Carter Cruise) is quite badly acted, in fact, especially by Carter Cruise—who is perfectly capable of acting well, as she has shown in other movies. And Raven Bays and Clover are very bad in the bar scene, and the dialog between them is terrible. Rahyndee James is almost as bad.

Overall, we're afraid we'd have to characterize this movie as "couples porn", and not in a good way.

The last scene, with Anikka Albrite and Tommy Gunn, won the 2015 XBiz Award for Best Scene in a Couples-Themed Release. This is somewhat surprising to us, as we did not think it was a terribly good scene.

Scene 1: Anikka Albrite and James Deen (♀♂)

★★★½☆

Time: 21:00

Female Orgasm: Yes, Cumshot: Ass

Features: Analingus, Cunnilingus Orgasm

Sam (Anikka Albrite) and Alan (James Deen) are at their engagement party, and they escape together for a bit. She is unhappy with it for a variety of reasons, some of which are connected with how wealthy he is, and they are going to be. It's not an easy conversation, but she convinces him to have sex with her before they return to the party.

There is reasonably good chemistry between them, and the sex feels fairly natural. But there are some pornish aspects to it, as well, and many of the sequences just seem to go on for too long, possibly because the camera angles are not very interesting.

Overall, the videography is not bad, compared to most porn, but we do lose him when she is sucking him and, generally, when they are fucking. There really isn't any reason, other than a stupid and very stereotyped male perspective, that the camera needs to spend so much time behind her. It would take very little effort to have a slightly different perspective that would allow us to see his face more often.

Scene 2: Carter Cruise and Romeo Price (♀♂)

★★★☆☆

Time: 20:00

Cumshot: Mouth

Features: Spanking

Pleasure ✓, Passion ✓, Balance

After Jamie (Carter Cruise) has a heart-to-heart with Sam, she tells her husband (Romeo Price) that he needs to keep quiet what he overheard. He says he needs some sort of incentive, so she gives him one.

They do a great job bringing their characters into the sex at the beginning, and there is some very nice communication between them. But, as in the first scene, the various sequences seem to go on for too long, and the scene overall feels a bit monotonous.

The ending, sadly, is very pornish: the usual spin around quickly so he can cum in her mouth routine.

The camera work here is pretty good at first. She is more the focus than he is, but there are some nice, wider shots that show us them as a couple. After they start to fuck, however, we do not see much of him, and there is a lot less variation in the camera angles.

Scene 3: Raven Bays and Clover (♀♂)

★★☆☆☆

Time: 18:00

Female Orgasm: Faked, Cumshot: Ass

Features: Massage

Pleasure ❌, Passion ❌, Balance

This is a completely gratuitous scene that is preceded by her saying, at the bar, "Let's go home and fuck". And the sex feels every bit as routine as that makes it sound. The way he talks to her sounds almost bored. And she never seems very aroused.

The camera work is similar to that in the previous two scenes, except that there seem to be some serious continuity issues in this one.

Scene 4: Rahyndee James and James Deen (♀♂)

★★½☆☆

Time: 18:00

Cumshot: Tits

Pleasure ❌, Passion ❌, Balance

Worried about his relationship with Sam, Alan goes to see his friend Heather (Rahyndee James), who has apparently been in love with him for a long time and is happy to "comfort" him.

At first, the sex very much has the feeling of sex between friends. But in the end it just feels completely performed and unnatural. She never really seems aroused, except when she is masturbating. And though she says she is going to cum, we do not think she does. The best that can be said for the sex is that it isn't offensive.

The photography is similar to the last two scenes—though there are also some issues with focus or, maybe more precisely, depth of field.

Scene 5: Anikka Albrite and Tommy Gunn (♀♂)

★★★☆☆

Time: 18:00

Cumshot: Stomach

Pleasure ❌, Passion ✓, Balance

Sam and Axel (Tommy Gunn) have sex. Unfortunately, the sex feels very routine, and does not have any of the passion one would have expected from the story. It is not obvious that she is ever very aroused.

The photography is similar to that in the rest of the movie.
