Review

As with all the DVDs we have seen from Erotica X so far, this one features four unrelated videos.

This is not the best DVD from Erotica X. None of the four scenes is particularly good, and two of them are fairly mediocre. The most promising scene here is the second, with Ashlynn Molloy and James Deen. There is terrific chemistry between them, and the sex is extremely passionate, with her having several orgasms. But it is a very long scene, too long, and in the end we started to feel bored. This is due, in large part, to problems with the camera work that we have discussed elsewhere.

The best scene is probably the last, with Lily Love and Tyler Nixon. There's good chemistry between them, and they smile at each other alot, and hold hands, which is sweet. But it too ends up being a bit too long, though not as much so as the second scene. The third scene, with Veronica Radke and Seth Gamble, is also pretty good, and very romantic. But the first scene, with Jillian Janson and Danny Mountain, we just found disappointing, though it is by no means bad. The sex just isn't very passionate, for most of the scene, and we didn't sense much of a connection between them.

As we started to say above, the camera in these four scenes is not terribly good. They are beautifully shot, but the focus is much more on the female performer than on her male partner, and in all of the scenes he is very much out of frame once they start fucking. A similar problem, along similar lines, concerns the introductory sequences, before the sex starts. In all but the first scene, it is entirely focused on the woman: wandering around in lingerie, or doing yoga, or whatever, and then her partner just happens to appear to have sex with her, as if by magic. (The first scene really has no such sequence but begins, instead, with soft, sensuous foreplay, which is fine with us.)

So, we did not think this a particularly strong DVD. Fans of James Deen will find something to enjoy in the second scene, and the third and fourth are fine. But there are much better offerings from Erotica X, reviews of which will be posted soon.

Scene 1: Young Love (Jillian Janson and Danny Mountain, ♀♂)

They are lying on some sort of bed in the middle of the living room, kissing, with him in jeans and a sleeveless undershirt, and her in a white camisole and panties. He touches her face and body softly and continues pleasuring her for some time before she returns the favor.

The beginning here is sexy and romantic, but there isn't great chemistry between them in this particular scene. The sex doesn't feel routine, really, but it just isn't very passionate. She does seem to enjoy herself, though, cumming once at the end, and she is very active.

The camera work is pretty good, about average for Erotica X, though he is often out of frame once they start fucking, and especially toward the end.

Scene 2: A Hunger Within (Ashlyn Molloy and James Deen, ♀♂)

The first few minutes show her wandering around in lingerie and heels. He eventually comes up behind her, in a suit, and they kiss and grope for a while, then head inside. We suggest skipping to 4:30.

That said, the sex is very passionate, and there is just a little bit of roughness. They seem to be very into having sex together. Indeed, she has several orgasms. But the scene is simply too long, and there is not enough variation in what they are doing. The monotonous nature of the camera work does not help. We hardly see his face at all when she is sucking him, and simply watching her the whole time gets boring. Even watching her cum over and over—she has four or five orgasms—gets boring, which is a bit hard to believe, but it almost seems like we're watching a repeat.

Scene 3: As the Sun Falls (Veronica Radke and Seth Gamble, ♀♂)

The first 3:25 consists of her wandering around the balcony in lingerie and heels. We skipped it. The sex itself takes place on a bed. We enjoyed how much he pleasured her at the beginning, much as in the first scene.

The overall feel of the scene is very romantic, and there is a lot of kissing. There is decent chemistry between them, too, but the sex is not terribly passionate. It starts to feel a bit monotonous through the middle, largely because of problems with the camera work, which is once again mediocre. We hardly see him at all when they are fucking. And, while the sex never feels performed, it doesn't feel very spontaneous, either.

Scene 4: Serenity (Lily Love and Tyler Nixon, ♀♂)

★★★★☆

The first four-plus minutes of this video are all her doing yoga, showering, etc, and it really doesn't add that much to the video. We'd recommend skipping forward.

Even then, the video is long, so it needs to be really good. And, while it's good, it's not that good. We definitely thought it could have been edited a bit more.

There's good chemistry between them, though. They smile at each other alot, and there is a fair bit of kissing and some communication. They also hold hands a lot, which is sweet, and the sex overall feels natural and reasonably passionate.

The camera work here is better than in the earlier scenes, but when she is on her back we don't see very much of him.
