Review

This movie is in some ways similar to Secret Desires and Forbidden Lovers, the two movies Nica Noelle made under the "TransRomantic" label. This one is instead made under the "TransSensual" label. We're not sure what the reason was for the change.

In any event, the way in which the movie is similar to the earlier ones is that it quite consciously strives to present transwomen as women and as people, not as fetish objects. Each of the vignettes is introduced by a short (sometimes very short) story, focused upon romantic themes. We do greatly appreciate that aspect of these movies, but the problem is that the sex just isn't very good. Except in the last scene, none of transwomen ever have orgasms or even seem to get very close to doing so. It really did not feel to us as if much attention was really paid to their pleasure.

The men who perform in this movie almost all work primarily in gay male porn. It honestly did not feel to us as if they were terribly used to having sex with women, be those cis- or transwomen. And that made it feel to us as if the women weren't necessarily being treated as women, sexually speaking, as opposed to being treated as women in the stories.

While the movie avoids the worst stereotypes associated with transsexual porn, then, it really does not live up to the standard set by the earlier movies. So we were quite disappointed by it.

(We'll mention in passing that the subscription website also does not manage to avoid terms that many transwomen find offensive.)

Scene 1: Aubrey Kate and Connor Maguire (⚧♀)

Rachel (Aubrey Kate) is showing Wren (Connor) a house, and he can't help but tell her how pretty he thinks she is. It turns out they're ex-lovers, and as she is about to leave he stops her, begging her. They start kissing, and it goes from there.

In so far as that counts as a story, it lasts a bit over two minutes. So there are about 20 minutes of sex.

The sex is pretty natural, and there is decent chemistry between them. But there is nothing particularly special about it, and the sequencing all feels a bit predictable. We really would have liked them to talk a bit more, too, and there really should have been a lot more kissing. These are old lovers getting back together after some time. She is a bit passive, too, and never seems near orgasm.

The camera work is all right. We do see a fair bit of him, but she is much more the focus than he is, and we really lose him when they are fucking. A lot of the shots are very pornish, too, and uninteresting, such as from low and between his legs when she is sucking him. There are too many medical shots, too, and a couple technical glitches, when the camera moves too fast for no reason and the lighting re-adjusts.

Scene 2: Gina Hart and David Chase (⚧♀)

Gina and David are apparently new lovers, and they are talking about whether they should tell his son about her. He says there is nothing to tell: She is a beautiful and caring woman who makes him very happy. He then climbs onto the bed with her, and they start kissing. All of that takes about a minute, so there is almost half an hour of sex.

The sex is romantic and loving, and more varied than one usually sees in this kind of video. There is pretty good chemistry between them, with at least some talking, though we would have liked more. He takes his time getting to her genitals, and there is a fair bit of kissing. She fucks him, rather than the other way around, and they masturbate together, though he is the only one we see cum, in his own hand.

But the sex does not always feel natural, especially some of the changes of position, and they did not really seem to be enjoying themselves that much. We also found the pace a bit too slow for our liking. Many of the sequences just seem to go on a bit long. It's a long scene, so it surely would have been fine to edit it a bit more.

The camera work is very good, with better balance between them than in the first scene, but there are again some technical issues, such as when someone walks in front of a light. There are also too many medical shots.

Scene 3: Nina Lawless and Nick Capra (⚧♀)

Nina is Nick's personal assistant, and he has just gotten home from a business trip. She was about to leave, but he insists he bring her a nightcap and goes downstairs to get out of his clothes. She brings it to him as he lies on the bed, shirtless, and he tells her they need to talk: that he knows she is in love with him, which it would rather seem she is not. He tells her he is going to give her an entire night with him. She says there has been a misunderstanding, but he does not listen to her.

It's a really sleazy story, and frankly it did not do a lot for us. We just don't have these sorts of fantasies. In any event, the story lasted almost six minutes, which left nearly 22 minutes for sex.

The sex is reasonably natural, and we liked how long they fooled around before they started fucking. But there is not a lot of chemistry between them, and overall the sex feels a bit predictable. There is some kissing, but she is very passive, for the most part. It's not at all clear that she really enjoys herself. Maybe that kind of goes with the story, but it doesn't make it sexy.

The camera work is similar to that in the first two scenes. We liked being able to see their whole bodies a lot of the time, but we could do without the closeups of his hairy butt.

Scene 4: Riley Quinn and Brock Avery (⚧♀)

David (Brock Avery) knocks on Riley's door and asks to talk to her, so she lets him into the house, and they go to her bedroom, where she sits on the bed. It seems they were having an affair, and that he is married to her sister, and now his wife has left him. She says that he should go and gets up to show him out, but he leans over to kiss her.

What story there is lasts two minutes, so there is about 22 minutes for sex. We did appreciate the kissing and foreplay before the genital sex began. But the sex mostly feels routine, and it definitely is not as passionate as one would expect from the story. She is quite passive, too. But at least she does have an orgasm: She is the only woman who does in this movie.

The camera work is probably better than in the previous scenes. There are a few too many medical shots, but there is good balance, and we see a lot of both of them.
