Several movies we've reviewed, or eventually will review, or at least that are the types of movies we do review, have been
nominated for the 2017 XBiz Awards. These include:
- Babysitting the Baumgartners, directed by Kay Brandt for Adam and Eve, for Feature Movie of the Year (also for Screenplay and Cinematography and Music and Editing)
- The Submission of Emma Marx 3: Exposed, directed by Jacky St James for New Sensations for Feature Movie of the Year (also for Screenplay and Cinematography and Music and Editing)
- Color Blind, directed by B Skow for Girlfriends Films, for Feature Movie of the Year (also for Screenplay)
- The Proposal, which was Jacky St James's last film for New Sensations, for Vignette Release of the Year
- Fantasies, directed by Jacky St James, Eddie Powell, and Paul Woodcrest, for New Sensations, also for Vignette Release of the Year
- A Lesbian Romance 2, directed by Jacky St James for New Sensations, for All-Girl Release of the Year (though there are also several other films in this category that might well be good)
Not surprisingly, a number of such movies are nominated for Couples-Themed Release of the Year:
- Indiscretions and New Beginnings, both from Stormy Daniels and Wicked Passions
- Casual Encounters, directed by David Lord for Wicked Pictures
- Love, Anonymous, Open Couples, and Secret Spa, from Adam and Eve
- The Masseuse 10, directed by James Avalon for Sweet Sinner
- The Switch, from BSkow and Girlfriends Films
We'll also quickly mention Best Actress nominations for Cassidy Klein in
New Beginnings, Sara Luvv in
Babysitting, and Penny Pax in
Emma 3. For Best Actor, we have Mick Blue in
Babysitting and Richie Calhoun in
Emma 3. Over at the Couples-Themed category, we have, just in movies we've reviewed, Julia Ann and Tyler Nixon in
Love, Anonymous, and Cassidy Klein and Brad Armstrong in
New Beginnings.
